Attracting new talent

As the largest building and civil engineering contractor operating in Northern Ireland we continue to focus on ways to further increase our business capabilities and create the ultimate competitive edge. One of the keys to achieving this is to attract new and emerging talent. In Northern Ireland we have developed strategic partnerships with Queens University Belfast and the University of Ulster help us to achieve this and due to our strong presence in Scotland and England, we are now in the process of developing additional partnerships with key universities across the UK.

On average, we give employment to 10 students on their placement year and full time employment to 10 new graduates every year.

Caoimhe McLaughlin	"In my short time with Farrans to date I have gained great experience within the civil engineering division of the company - primarily working on the Dublin Water Mains Rehabilitation Project. My main duties involve dealing with Early Warnings, Day works, Liabilities, Sub-Contractor Payment Certs and Valuations. In fulfilling these roles I believe my commercial awareness has significantly developed. I am privileged to work for Farrans and look forward to what the future brings within the company as I embark on my career."
